RESPECT,HONOUR AND PRIDE ... Vets Minor Lacrosse!

Welcome to the Vets Minor Lacrosse website (formally know as Shelburne Veterans Lacrosse).  The Vets were founded in the winter of 1998 with our first game being played in the summer of 1999. The "Veterans" nickname was chosen to honour all of our Canadian War Vets who have served our country so well over the past 150+ years. Thanks to them our country is free and continues to be so. Lest we Forget.

Thank a Vet they are truly our real heroes!

The Mission of Vets Minor Lacrosse (VETS) is to promote the game of lacrosse providing a safe and fun opportunity for the players and their families, and emphasizing the importance of good sportsmanship, fitness and teamwork. The Vets believe that athletic competition plays a vital role in the development of children and young adults. Concepts of fair play, sportsmanship, commitment, discipline, responsibility, respect, integrity and time management are all promoted and expected. By promoting these principles through the game of lacrosse The Vets endeavor to inspire our players to become the best that they can be, both on the floor and as a members of our community, while providing each player with important tools for success in their future!!

As with all things, much work must be done before a young player can step into the game. For us, that game is lacrosse!
The Vets emphasize good sportsmanship, teamwork, camaraderie, healthy competition, and the fun of playing lacrosse.
In Ontario, lacrosse is a club sport that follows guidelines established by the Ontario Lacrosse Association (OLA).
There are hours of work that go on behind the scenes which we rely on volunteers for.  We are always looking for volunteers to help our small organization stay running smoothly.

Now is a great time to volunteer!
